How we check your order
Every enquiry starts with a specification. We record fluid, working pressure, working temperature, connection type, size and material, then match them against the ratings of the family you selected. Where two sizes or seat materials apply, we state which one the quoted pressure covers.
Before packing, goods pass three checks: identity against the purchase order, dimensions, and material review of heat number and mill certificate for the delivered batch. Dimensions cover thread form and gauge, hex, bore and end-to-end length.
Documents that travel with goods
The standard export package holds a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin on request, and the inspection record for the items shipped. Material certificates and dimensional inspection reports come on request, matched to the heat number of the delivered batch.
Pressure test and leak test reports, hardness or surface roughness records, and special cleaning certificates can be arranged when the purchase order states the requirement and the test method. SGS, BV, Intertek, TUV or your own inspector can attend our packing location.
Standards, traceability and ratings
Batch-level traceability from mill certificate to individual valve or fitting is the normal route for oil and gas, petrochemical and pharmaceutical orders. Full material traceability is on request. General industrial orders can be supplied to model and size only, which keeps the price lower.
Catalogue pressures are referenced to ANSI/ASME B31.3 at ambient temperature and are de-rated for working temperature and for the seat or seal material selected. Ask for the rating that applies to the size, end connection and material on your order.
Standards referenced: NPT threads referenced to ASME B1.20.1 and SAE AS71051; ISO tapered threads referenced to ISO 7-1, EN 10226-1, BS 21, DIN 2999 and JIS B0203; ISO parallel threads (G, RP, PF, BSPP) referenced to ISO 228-1, DIN 228-1, JIS B0202 and BS 2779.

Frequently asked questions
What documents can you supply with a shipment?
As standard: invoice, packing list and the inspection record for the items shipped. On request: material certificates with heat numbers, dimensional inspection reports, pressure and leak test reports, and certificate of origin. Send your project document list with the enquiry.
Can we send an inspector or use a third-party agency?
Yes. We arrange SGS, BV, Intertek, TUV or your own inspector at our packing location, and issue the inspection invitation with the packing date so your surveyor can plan attendance. State any inspection requirement on the purchase order.
How do BSPT and BSPP threads differ?
BSPT and ISO tapered threads (R, R1, R2, Rc, RT, PT, ZG) use a 55 degree angle and 1:16 taper, sealing on the thread. BSPP and ISO parallel threads (G, RP, PF) seal on a bonded washer or O-ring face. The two are not interchangeable.
