Where it is used

Purified water and water for injection loops run hot and are sanitised or steamed regularly, so welded joints suit lines that stay closed. Typical items are needle valves for isolation, gauge valves and manifolds for pressure and conductivity transmitters, and bleed and sampling valves.

Process lines carry buffers, solvents, acids, caustic solutions and media, so selection follows chemical compatibility. Clean steam, instrument air, nitrogen blanketing, reactor jacket fluid and cooling water reach the instrument through regulators and filters. Containment duty favours few joints, small internal volume and purgeability.

Product families and ranges

R-LOK covers needle valves for isolation and throttling, ball valves for quarter-turn shutoff, gauge valves, two-, three- and five-valve manifolds, check valves, and plug, purge and bleed valves. UHP diaphragm valves use a flexible metal diaphragm and a fully enclosed seat.

Tube fittings use double-ferrule, threaded and high-purity weld styles, including weld ends for orbital-welded lines. Regulators cut cylinder, header or plant air pressure to point of use; filters protect analysers from particulates and condensate. Manifold hook-up sets and regulator-filter combinations are assembled to order.

Surface finish and documents

Surface roughness, cleaning route and packaging decide whether a valve fits a clean utility line. Electropolished flow passages reduce particle retention and shorten rinse and dry cycles. For steam or clean-in-place service, state the cycle temperature, the cleaning agent and the cycle count.

Documentation is prepared with the goods: material certificates, dimensional inspection reports and leak test records, plus surface roughness reports on request. State at enquiry which documents your quality department needs and whether they must name the final end user.

Frequently asked questions

What documents can you supply with an order?

Material certificates for wetted parts traceable to the mill heat number, dimensional inspection reports and leak test records are issued on request, and surface roughness measurement reports can be arranged where the validation package requires them. State the document list at enquiry.

Should I order 316 or 316L?

Both are supplied, and dual-certified 316/316L is available where your plant standard calls for it. 316L is the usual choice for pharmaceutical wetted parts because of its lower carbon content after welding. Send your plant material specification and we quote against it.

How are export orders packed and shipped?

Goods ship to the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and Africa with thread protectors, caps on sealing faces, desiccant, inner protection and export-grade cases for sea or air freight. Mixed consignments leave with one packing list and a certificate of origin for customs.
